Job summary

Designer Group Ltd. seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial responsibility for multiple live M&E projects in the Dublin area.

You will act as the principal commercial interface with the client, managing contract notifications, variations, valuations and cost reporting, and mentoring Intermediate and Junior QS staff on complex contractual matters. Qualifications

Third level Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar.
Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in a similar role.
Previous experience within a similar M&E role.

Responsibilities

Placement of sub-contract orders in conjunction with Contracts Manager/Buying Department.
Evaluate the terms and conditions of sub-contractors and contracts with emphasis on risk, program, terms and conditions, design responsibility.
Prepare Tender Risk Analysis based on standard format and contract documentation including bill of quantities.
Run accurate Commercial Cost Control Reports on projects showing committed costs, forecast costs for materials, sub-contracts and labour plus preliminaries.
Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks with the Commercial Director.
Provide advice on contractual claims – analysing outcomes and forecasts and reporting as required.
Prepare and present monthly company reports at each project or business review, following company formats and standards.
Assist the Commercial Manager in monthly commercial reporting and support the Estimation Department when needed.
