Job summary

Mercury is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for our Dublin office to lead commercial aspects of complex engineering and construction projects across the EU. You will review contracts, prepare and issue sub-contractor documents, monitor variations, and drive monthly progress applications.

The role requires 6+ years’ QS or engineering experience, a relevant degree, advanced Excel skills (SAP advantageous), and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in QS or a relevant engineering field.
• 6+ years’ experience in QS or engineering with commercial exposure.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; regular travel to the EU is expected.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand project contract documents and pricing.
• Prepare and analyse supplier and sub-contractor enquiries.
• Prepare and issue contract documents to the supply chain.
• Monitor changes in scope and pricing of variations.
• Prepare and agree monthly progress applications.
• Maintain financial and contractual control of sub-contractor accounts.
• Issue contractual notices and evaluate loss/expense/acceleration claims.
• Provide fast, accurate, competitive and profitable estimates.
• Prepare monthly commercial project reports.
• Provide data/analysis of issues and risks as required by management.
• Forecast project cash flows and liaise with clients and main contractors.
