Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage financial and contractual aspects of engineering projects. The candidate will ensure optimal project delivery, monitoring budgets, and supporting project owners throughout project cycles. A degree in Quantity Surveying and significant experience are required, along with strong contract knowledge and analytical skills. The role is based in Cahir, offering a pivotal position in project development and implementation.

Qualifications

• 5 – 10 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor role or similar, ideally within a similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of contract frameworks (e.g. NEC, FIDIC or equivalent).
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and commercial awareness skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate budget forecasts and advise on cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project expenditure and maximise cost efficiency.
• Prepare and administer contract documentation.
• Support project owners in evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations.
