Senior Quantity Surveyor - Finglas

D.O.E: 100K - 120K

Company Overview:

A leading Building and Civil Engineering Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering quality projects throughout Ireland. They delivered projects in Residential, Commercial, Healthcare, Education and Civil engineering sectors covering projects from minor building refurbishment works to major construction projects. Due to increased business growth they are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Finglas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and managing risks and opportunities.
  • Oversee the procurement of new suppliers & subcontractors.
  • Cost reporting - including preparation of accurate monthly Cost Value Reports for review with the team.
  • Working closely with the operations and delivery team ensuring work is carried out as effectively as possible.
  • Acting as a mentor to junior surveyors / project surveyors and offer commercial support and guidance to your immediate team and the wider project team.
  • Managing and being responsible for the commercial elements of projects running in parallel from start to finish including final account negotiations.
  • Overseeing the commercial management of the projects and preparing Budgets with the Project Team and Senior management Team.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying.
  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a proven track record.
  • Must be proficient in Buildsoft, CostX and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good financial and numeracy management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills.

The Salary for this role is negotiable based on level of applicable experience.
