Job summary

Web Summit is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join on-site in Dublin. You will craft end-to-end tests, create realistic test data, and enable teams to ship with confidence by providing automated tests across APIs, services, web and mobile apps.

You will work with Rails monoliths, PostgreSQL, and modern mobile frameworks, contributing to CI/CD pipelines and leveraging AI tools to improve test coverage. This role requires hands-on testing across event spikes and live environments.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills and a track record of building test software used by engineers.
• Experience testing journeys across APIs, services, web or mobile clients and third‑party systems.
• Experience creating reusable test data and environments, and running automated tests in CI/CD.
• Ability to investigate failures with logs, monitoring and crash reports and explain risk clearly.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end tests and data for critical journeys (registration, login, ticketing).
• Run tests across mobile apps and backend services weekly.
• Provide clear evidence of test dependencies to release teams.
• Collaborate with multiple squads and help uplift testing practices.
