Job summary

Abbott in Ireland seeks a quality/engineering professional to drive product quality and process excellence. You will partner with R&D, Operations and Quality to deliver high‑quality solutions, analyze data for trends, and implement CAPA and risk assessments to support new product transfers to manufacturing.

With NFQ Level7 qualification and 4+ years in related environments, you will lead projects, influence stakeholders, and ensure compliance with quality systems and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • NFQ Level7 qualification in Engineering/Science (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years in a quality, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving and data analysis skills.
  • Solid understanding of quality systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to manage priorities, work independently, and lead initiatives.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate.

Responsibilities

  • Lead root cause investigations for defects, non‑conformances, and customer issues; implement CAPA.
  • Analyse data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop quality plans, product specifications, and risk assessments (e.g., FMEA).
  • Support new product development to ensure robust, high‑quality design and transfer to manufacturing.
  • Plan and deliver projects—defining scope, timelines, risks, and resources.
  • Communicate progress and influence stakeholders to drive alignment and results.
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Collaborate across functions to translate business goals into actionable outcomes.

Purpose of the Role

What You Bring
