Job summary

Ascend Project Management's client, a leading global biopharmaceutical organisation with a major South Dublin facility, seeks a QC Microbiology Manager to lead readiness activities and transition to routine operations.

You will develop GMP documentation, qualify lab equipment, oversee Environmental Monitoring programs, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, efficient QC microbiology operations.

Qualifications

• Broad technical knowledge of pharmaceutical microbiology and QC laboratory operations.
• Strong understanding of GMP requirements applicable to microbiological testing and aseptic manufacturing.
• Experience in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead QC Microbiology readiness activities for manufacturing expansion.
• Develop and implement readiness plans for future operations.
• Review and approve GMP documentation (SOPs, protocols, reports).
• Coordinate equipment qualification and environmental monitoring programs.
• Manage QC Microbiology personnel and provide coaching and leadership.
