Job summary

Y-Axis is seeking an experienced QA professional to lead end-to-end testing across multiple releases. The role focuses on test planning, design, execution, and defect management, with strong SQL and data validation skills to validate large datasets and drive high-quality data processes.

You will perform ETL, data migration, and data conversion testing, design comprehensive test cases, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in both Agile and Waterfall environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on software testing and quality assurance experience.
• Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries and data validation.
• Extensive experience with ETL testing, data migration, and data conversion testing.
• Experience managing end-to-end testing cycles and defect reporting.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Nice to Have: Playwright, Tosca, or similar automation tools.
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools and technologies (e.g., GitHub Copilot).

Responsibilities

• Lead test planning, test design, execution, and defect management activities.
• Validate large data sets using complex SQL queries and database testing techniques.
• Perform end-to-end ETL, data migration, data conversion, and data quality testing.
• Design and execute comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.
• Collaborate with development, production support, change management, and business teams.
• Drive QA delivery across multiple releases and project workstreams.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test scripts, and traceability documentation.
• Work across Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
• Support continuous improvements in QA practices and testing processes.
• Contribute to automation and AI-enabled testing initiatives where appropriate.
