Irish Distillers in Dublin 4 is seeking a Senior Public Affairs and External Communications Manager for a 12-month maternity cover. Reporting to the Communications and Corporate Affairs Director, you will shape public affairs strategy and external communications across channels to protect and promote the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in Public Affairs, Communications, Marketing or related fields.
• Masters degree would be advantageous.
• 8+ years in FMCG corporate communications/public affairs.
• Experience in agency management and client engagement.
• Track record in integrated comms planning and public affairs strategy.

Responsibilities

• Shape and execute Public Affairs Strategy to protect and enhance Irish Distillers’ reputation.
• Lead External Communications and media relations aligned to corporate strategy.
• Represent the company with industry bodies, government and regulators.
• Prepare and manage crisis communications and issue management.
• Oversee budget for Communications and Corporate Affairs and coordinate team input.
• Collaborate with HR, Brand, and Operations to align communications across functions.
