Job summary

Saint John of God Community Services in Dublin invites applications for a Senior Psychologist (Clinical or Counselling) within the MHID service. The role focuses on adults with intellectual disability and co-morbid mental health conditions, with a community-based catchment across Dublin area.

Qualifications

• Recognised university degree or diploma (QQI level 8) with 1st or 2nd class honours in psychology.
• Post-graduate professional qualification in clinical or counselling psychology.
• Foreign qualifications validated by the Department of Health if trained abroad.
• At least five years post-graduate experience in professional psychology.
• Post-qualification experience in CAMHs/AMHs or Intellectual disability services; MDT experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality psychology services within the MHID team.
• Conduct assessments and deliver psychological therapies as required.
• Work within an MDT to plan and deliver integrated care.
• Engage in counselling and advocacy related to the role and client needs.
