Job summary

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
• PSI registered or eligible for registration.
• Experience working with adults with mental health and/or neurodegenerative conditions.
• Strong assessment, formulation, and therapeutic skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessments.
• Provide evidence-based psychological interventions to patients and families.
• Support the management of behavioural and psychological symptoms associated with dementia and severe mental illness.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nursing staff, and allied health professionals.
• Provide consultation, supervision, and training to colleagues.
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and clinical governance initiatives.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Clinical Psychologist to join a multidisciplinary team within a leading private mental health hospital in Dublin. The successful candidate will provide specialist psychological assessment and intervention for adults with complex mental health and neurocognitive disorders, including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, early-onset dementias, and schizophrenia.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessments.


• Provide evidence-based psychological interventions to patients and families.


• Support the management of behavioural and psychological symptoms associated with dementia and severe mental illness.


• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nursing staff, and allied health professionals.


• Provide consultation, supervision, and training to colleagues.


• Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and clinical governance initiatives.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent qualification.
