Job summary

Turner & Townsend Ireland seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead capital projects in the energy sector. You will oversee budget, schedule and quality, coordinating design development and stakeholder engagement.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years in large capital projects, strong contract management, and excellent communication. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver ambitious programmes and drive performance.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in managing large or multiple capital projects in utilities or telecoms or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge and experience of project management and contract management.
• Proven ability to successfully implement and execute programmes and drive performance.
• Experience in a complex stakeholder environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the delivery of identified Capital projects with focus on budget, schedule and quality output.
• Drive the management of project design development across the complete delivery lifecycle, including Design & Build stage.
• Manage directly, and liaise with others, to ensure project timescales are met.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of customer and stakeholder interactions, progress reports, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of projects.
• Identify and document risks and issues and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee project control, including resourcing and service delivery requirements, ensuring consultant supervision where relevant.
• Oversee management of project estimation and project planning.
• Ad-hoc responsibilities when required.

Job Description

Turner & Townsend is an independent professional services company specialising in programme management, project management, cost and commercial management and advisory across the real estate, infrastructure and natural resources sectors. Our Energy & Natural Resources Division is involved in some of the world’s most exciting capital development programmes, including energy and power.

Due to continued growth in our Project Management team in Ireland we are looking to appoint a Project Manager to work with our client on an exciting project within the energy sector.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Accountable for the delivery of identified Capital projects with the focus on budget, schedule and quality output;
