Senior Project Manager

Type: FTE

Salary: €90,000 - €100,000

Location: Blessington, Wicklow

GemPool Recruitment, on behalf of our client in the data centre industry, is seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to take ownership of the delivery of innovative noise reduction solutions within large-scale data centre construction and infrastructure projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic organisation at the forefront of data centre development, where you’ll play a pivotal role in managing high-value projects end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the full lifecycle of project delivery, ensuring the successful implementation of noise reduction solutions for major data centre builds.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, and quality standards to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Act as a key liaison between clients, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams.
• Oversee procurement activities, contract negotiations, and vendor performance.
• Provide regular project updates to senior management, including KPIs, budget tracking, progress reports, and performance assessments.
• Monitor project outcomes, analyse performance indicators, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement effective risk management strategies and mitigation plans.
• Promote continuous improvement and innovation in project delivery.

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ proven experience in managing industrial or data centre projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of data centre infrastructure (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire protection, etc.).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
• Solid understanding of construction contracts.
• Degree in engineering, construction management, or related discipline (preferred).

Desirable Skills:

• Experience working on hyperscale or colocation data centre projects.
• Knowledge of sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency practices.
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
