Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a seasoned Production Engineer to ensure reliability and performance of our AI infrastructure. You will help detect, analyze, and prevent issues, maintain SLIs/SLOs, and drive improvements with automation.

Strong coding, Unix/Linux, and network skills are essential as you collaborate with DC and engineering teams to scale capacity and resilience. You will work on capacity planning, troubleshooting, site operations, hardware management, and network optimization, while embracing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional production engineering experience.
• 5+ years contributing to architecture and design of new and current systems.
• Bachelor's Degree in CS or related field, or 8+ years relevant work experience.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure design and trade-offs.
• Experience programming in Python or Go.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD tools GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, GitHub Actions.
• Experience with logging, monitoring and alerting.
• Experience with Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with TCP/IP networking.
• Experience with information security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Capacity Planning & Growth: analyze network capacity and growth plans.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Tier 1 troubleshooting for network issues.
• Site Builds & Operations: manage DNS mapping and automation scripts.
• Hardware Management: oversee switch swaps and RMA processes.
• Optical Network Expertise: troubleshoot Layer 1 issues with OTDR tests.
• Project Collaboration: partner on data center expansions.
• Process Improvement: lead operational excellence projects.
• Network Analysis & Optimization: study links and stability.
• Innovation & Evaluation: evaluate new technologies.
