Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Owner (HRIS) based in Ireland.

Take ownership of the development and implementation of an HR information system designed to support complex internal business processes. In this senior role, you will translate business needs into clear product requirements and guide solutions from initial discovery through launch and ongoing evaluation. You will shape the product roadmap, align priorities across stakeholder groups, and coordinate a cross-functional team throughout delivery. Your work will help improve internal workflows, platform usability, and operational efficiency. You will also contribute to the assessment and replacement of existing tools, including planning integrations and migration activities. This is a fully remote opportunity within a collaborative, ambitious, and growth-oriented product environment.

Accountabilities
  • Gather and clarify requirements from the business owner and internal stakeholders, conduct user interviews, and validate proposed solutions.

  • Translate business needs into structured product requirements, user scenarios, and acceptance criteria, accounting for user roles, access permissions, process stages, notifications, and reporting.

  • Define, maintain, and communicate the product roadmap while managing the full product delivery lifecycle, from discovery and planning to implementation and outcome evaluation.

  • Coordinate developers, designers, QA specialists, and business stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and timely delivery.

  • Work with the IT department to audit existing tools, systems, and integrations, identifying opportunities for improvement or replacement.

  • Collaborate with the team to estimate timelines, resource requirements, and dependencies.

  • Provide the business owner with estimates, insights, and data needed to support business planning and decision-making.

  • Prepare and coordinate the transition plan from existing tools to the new platform, including relevant implementation and adoption activities.

  • Analyze platform usage and user feedback, evaluate usability, and measure the impact of product solutions on process efficiency.

  • Regularly report to the business owner on progress, outcomes, deviations, risks, and decisions requiring approval.

Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar product management role.

  • Proven experience managing the complete product lifecycle, from identifying business needs through implementation and results evaluation.

  • Ability to translate requests from non-technical stakeholders into clear, actionable requirements for development teams.

  • Experience working with products involving complex workflows, configurations, data models, or access-control systems.

  • Strong expertise in product roadmap development, backlog and task management, and prioritization across multiple stakeholder groups.

  • Practical experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and build alignment without direct managerial authority.

  • Understanding of web systems, APIs, and integrations, as well as user experience and interface design fundamentals.

  • Ability to work with data, define success metrics, and communicate findings and outcomes clearly.

  • Strong ownership, autonomy within agreed responsibilities, accountability for results, and a proactive approach to identifying risks and proposing solutions.

  • Experience in HRTech, FinTech, business process automation, or internal corporate systems is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with modular platforms covering multiple functional areas is a plus.

  • Experience replacing enterprise systems, migrating data, or introducing new products to end users is desirable.

  • Understanding of personal data protection principles and role-based access management is beneficial.

Benefits
  • Fully remote working arrangements, with the option to work from hubs in Kyiv or Warsaw.

  • 20 paid days off per year, in addition to public holidays and sick leave.

  • Medical insurance with access to leading healthcare providers.

  • Coverage for psychological support through the Pleso platform.

  • Monthly flexible benefits allowance that can be used for personal interests, hobbies, sports, and other eligible expenses.

  • Individual learning and development budget for courses and professional training.

  • Corporate English classes, workshops, and access to an online learning library.

  • Mentorship programs, training opportunities, and structured career development supported by Performance Reviews.

  • Team-building activities, corporate events, and professional community initiatives.

  • Opportunities to work on ambitious technology projects, build solutions from the ground up, and improve processes through automation.

  • A collaborative, open, and low-bureaucracy environment that encourages initiative, feedback, and professional growth.
