Job Description Summary

The Business Intelligence and API Enablement program enables business insights for every transaction. Our vision is to provide a secure, scalable, resilient, high-performing, and multi-tenant global data warehouse, allowing consistent data and analytics experiences through innovative shared components and API services.

Overview

This role is part of a team providing the business analysis required to support the development of Commercial products. You will work collaboratively with agile software development teams to analyze business requirements and deliver high-quality features that meet customer expectations.

Role
  1. Work closely with internal and external customers to define the details behind the business requirements, specifications, user experience, and API strategy for the InControl program.
  2. Collaborate with Product Owner, Architecture, and Development to decompose requirements into user stories, prioritize the backlog, and define acceptance criteria.
  3. Support the growing needs of Mastercard’s Data Warehouse API Development team.
  4. Gather requirements by engaging with multiple global stakeholders and documenting them in standard templates for developers.
  5. Provide support to department initiatives and cross-functional projects requiring API support.
  6. Identify, recommend, and drive solutions for business process efficiency.
  7. Maintain, monitor, and fine-tune business metrics and KPIs to adapt to business needs.
  8. Support the API team’s data management and reporting systems.
  9. Identify, recommend, and implement automation solutions for data discovery and reporting processes.
  10. Assist with existing and ad hoc customer data requests.
  11. Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to address complex business issues from an analysis and process perspective.
All About You

Experience supporting Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions, working with business and technical teams to determine data approaches.

  • Experience in requirements gathering and building relationships with business clients.
  • Qualifications in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Business, or related fields.
  • Ability to analyze software requirements, model business processes, and align software to business strategy.
  • Experience working with software engineering teams in agile environments.
  • Ability to understand complex software systems and communicate effectively with technical teams.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, business acumen, positive attitude, and good communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Commitment to staying updated with industry technologies and best practices.
