Ascent People Ltd is seeking a Senior Product Manager to enhance their product portfolio in a hybrid work environment. The successful candidate will lead product strategy and development, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure that the organization meets market demands and customer needs effectively.

Role Purpose of the Senior Product Manager
The Senior Product Manager is responsible for the evolution of a significant part of the company's product portfolio and defining the end-to-end market offering, including selecting 3rd party products that will be used as part of the end-to-end market offering alongside other products.
The Senior Product Manager is also responsible for defining the detailed product roadmap for all the product modules and integrations to 3rd parties under its responsibility. This will involve ensuring that the modules add incremental value to the product offering, are aligned with budget and the strategic product vision based on industry experience, corporate strategy and contact with customers and prospects.
Additionally, the role is responsible for the line management of the R&D documentation function, Product Owners & Technical Product Management.
Role Responsibilities
Deliverables • Gather, prioritize, and translate customer and business requirements into clear product features, user stories, and specifications. Define and own the product roadmaps for our BSS/OSS portfolio, ensuring alignment with company vision, product strategy, market trends, and customer needs.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform product direction and input into the company product strategy.
• Consider both functional enhancement, technology progression and technology harmonisation as part of the product module roadmap.
• Liaise regularly with the Head of Engineering and work in collaboration to ensure that all decisions regarding technology progression and harmonisation are agreed.
• Clearly communicate the detailed roadmap for product modules and our market offerings under his/her responsibility internally and to existing customers and prospects.
• Provide the Sales and Account Management teams with factual information and support regarding the roadmap for the product modules and product offerings.
• Support the Marketing department, particularly Product Marketing for the production of collateral and presentations for product modules and market offerings.
• Providing regular reports to the Head of Product on the current status of the releases for product modules.
• Support the Sales and Account Management teams in customer and prospect meetings to articulate the value of the product modules and market offerings.
• Technical relationship management of 3rd Parties providing specific products used as part of our market offering.
• Provide thought leadership in the BSS domain, acting as a subject matter expert both internally and externally.
• Support sales and pre-sales teams with product expertise, demos, and RFP responses when needed.
People Leadership • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise team members. Influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
• Maintain regular and effective communication with all team members.
• Set and continually manage expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to improving team processes by identifying process improvements or inefficient work practices.
• Ensure the team are engaged and are aware of what is required from them.
• Contribute to knowledge share within the team.
• Undertake quarterly performance reviews of all line members.
• Cascade and enforce all policies and processes with team members and within the project team
• Ensure HR policy knowledge is kept up to date.
• Manage the mentoring process for new starters assigned to the line.
Other • Help create a culture of learning, trust and self-improvement.
• Awareness and compliance of ISO9001, ISO27001, ISO22301 and UK GDPR regulations.
• Any other duties as required.
The role only requires the successful candidate to work in the office one day a week (more if you prefer) and can be based in the Limerick or Warrington office.
