Job summary

Sanderson in Dublin seeks an experienced Procurement Category Manager to lead category strategy for Capex and related services in a complex engineering and construction environment.

You will partner with engineering, estimation and operations to drive commercial outcomes on major capital programmes, balancing cost, risk and supply continuity across multiple sites and projects in Europe.

Qualifications

• Experience managing procurement categories in construction, engineering or capital projects.
• Proven track record negotiating complex, high value contracts.
• Strong commercial judgement and cost focus.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and support delivery.
• Structured approach to sourcing, supplier management and risk.
• Delivery focus and ability to operate across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies across Capex and Opex.
• Improve total cost of ownership and supplier performance.
• Own key supplier relationships beyond transactional engagement.
• Lead sourcing, tendering and contract negotiations for high value work.
• Partner with delivery teams from early engagement through execution.
• Provide market insight, cost benchmarking and supply intelligence.
• Build supplier performance frameworks and drive improvement.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risk.
• Support procurement transformation and process improvement.
• Engage senior stakeholders with data-led insight.
