Job summary

Select Ambition is supporting a confidential accountancy practice in County Meath with the appointment of a Senior Practice Accountant. This permanent, full-time position pays €50,000–€60,000 per year and follows a five-day working week.

The role blends technical accounting with direct client relationships and the development of junior colleagues. You will oversee year-end accounts and tax submissions, contributing to audit and audit-exempt work under Irish GAAP.

Qualifications

• Must have strong client-facing communication and initiative.
• Experience preparing or reviewing year-end accounts and tax submissions.
• Solid knowledge of financial reporting and SMEs tax matters.
• Ability to manage multiple client deadlines and assignments.
• Attend County Meath office at least three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Oversee year-end accounts and tax submissions.
• Contribute to audit and audit-exempt work under Irish GAAP/FRS 102 Section 1A.
• Manage deadlines and resolve technical matters.
• Review work of trainees and junior accountants; mentor them.
• Develop client relationships and provide practical service improvements.
