Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage upgrades, releases, configuration changes, and lifecycle management of desktop tools.
• Monitor tool health, usage patterns, and user feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex platform and tooling issues.
• Working across organizational boundaries to deliver platform capabilities used by diverse engineering teams.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Support and maintain existing developer desktop applications and tooling used by engineering teams.
• Diagnose and resolve tooling issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
• Manage upgrades, releases, configuration changes, and lifecycle management of desktop tools.
• Monitor tool health, usage patterns, and user feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex platform and tooling issues.
• Experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs such as Visual Studio Code [VS Code] or similar) and extension/plugin ecosystems.
• Experience with application installation and deployment solutions for Windows/macOS platforms.
• Working across organizational boundaries to deliver platform capabilities used by diverse engineering teams.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud) along with solid understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in complex systems.
• Experience leveraging DevAssist tools such as GitHub Copilot and Gemini Code Assist to optimize development workflows.

Bonus Skills

• Experience working with the open source community.
• Cloud Certifications in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes or similar.
