Job summary

Mastercard seeks a Platform Architect 2 to drive infrastructure architecture aligned with security, scalability and availability standards. You will collaborate with application teams and stakeholders from multiple regions to deliver robust infrastructure designs.

The role requires expertise in web servers, middleware and cloud technologies, with a focus on high availability and security in a global payments environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of network, OS principles and web middleware.
• Strong understanding of load balancers and web application firewalls.
• Experience with databases and cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with YAML-based deployments.

Responsibilities

• Generate requirements with architects, engineers, and users to ensure high-level requirements are met.
• Produce TADs, technical documents, flows, and models to keep stakeholders aligned.
• Maintain architectural artifacts and ensure they stay up-to-date.
• Resolve internet architectural and operational problems impacting infrastructure and product availability globally.
• Research and evaluate new technologies for MasterCard’s infrastructure.
• Lead regional projects with planning, schedule and resource control.
• Implement, manage and support internet infrastructure components per standards.
• Diagnose problems, tune performance, plan capacity and manage configurations.
• Ensure system stability and future compatibility by monitoring production.
