Job summary

Strata Project Solutions, an engineering-led consultancy headquartered in Dublin, seeks a Planning Engineer for its Data Centre team. You will design and maintain master construction programmes, aligning with objectives and milestones while using modern data-driven tools to track progress across Europe.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% across project locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and maintain detailed master construction programmes aligned to project objectives and milestones.
• Provide detailed schedule development of Civils and MEP systems from first principles in close consultation with project teams.
• Establish and operate robust project controls procedures to monitor progress and health.
• Produce and present progress reports for leadership and clients.
• Support change management, delay analysis and impact assessments on live projects.
• Collaborate with site, design and commercial teams to gather information and identify risks.

We’re looking for a Planning Engineer to join our Data Centre team. You’ll play a key role in how complex, high-value projects are planned, tracked and delivered, combining strong technical understanding with modern, data-driven tools and methods.

Whatyou’lldo

• Develop,manageandmaintaindetailed master construction programmes aligned to projectobjectivesand key milestones
• Provide detailed schedule development of Civils and MEP systems from first principles, in close consultation with construction, engineering and site delivery teams
• Establish andoperaterobust project controls procedures tomonitorprogress, performance,productivityand programme health
• Produce and present clear,accurateprogress reports for internal leadership and client stakeholders
• Support preparation and review of method statements, contributing to safe,efficientand high-quality delivery
• Create and present detailed sequence sketches, phasingdiagramsand storyboards to support site coordination
• Collaborate with site, design, engineering and commercial teams to gather information,identifyprogrammerisksand highlight opportunities
• Implement andmaintainprogress measurement systems including earned value analysis, quantities installed and tracking of critical systems
• Track procurement, off-site fabrication,modularisationand delivery interfaces, ensuring alignment with the construction programme
• Support change management, delayanalysisand impact assessments, particularly within live or phased operational environments
• Proactively communicate risks,constraintsand deviations to keep works on programme

Whatwe’relooking for

• Degree in Engineering or Construction Management

• Digital construction tools (PowerBI, 4D Synchro, QSRA)
• Understanding of MEP systems (electrical distribution, HVAC/CHW, life safety,controlsand BMS/PMS)
• Familiarity with commissioning processes (IST, Level 1-5)
