Job summary

Egis Engineering Ireland is hiring a Senior Planning & Environmental Consultant to join our expanding planning and environmental team. The role supports major public and private sector projects across transportation, energy, infrastructure, and urban development.

Based in Ireland with a hybrid working model, the successful candidate will lead planning applications, EIARs, and complex consenting processes, collaborating with engineers and environmental specialists to deliver high-quality advice

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, technical writing, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience preparing and submitting EIARs and planning statements.
• Proven ability to manage complex multidisciplinary projects and deliver on deadlines.
• In-depth knowledge of Irish planning legislation, policy and consenting procedures.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Self-motivated, collaborative and inclusive in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate development consents, documentation and planning strategies for large-scale projects.
• Prepare and submit planning applications and reports across multiple sectors.
• Provide strategic planning and environmental advice to clients, including pathways and sustainability considerations.
• Contribute to design and master-planning processes with multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior team members and drive continuous improvement in planning practice.
