This is an opportunity to work on high-profile, large-scale projects across renewable energy, transport, water, infrastructure and urban development, supporting both public and private sector clients.

You’ll work alongside leading engineers, designers and environmental specialists to develop practical planning and environmental solutions, manage complex consenting processes, and deliver planning applications and Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs).

What you’ll do

  • Lead and coordinate planning, environmental and consenting strategies for major infrastructure and development projects.
  • Prepare and manage planning applications, reports and EIAR inputs in line with Irish legislation and best practice.
  • Provide clients with clear, strategic advice on planning policy, consenting pathways and sustainability.
  • Work closely with engineers, architects and environmental specialists to influence design and master planning.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate planning and environmental inputs across projects.
  • Engage with planning authorities, An Coimisiún Pleanála, local authorities and other statutory bodies.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and public consultation, helping deliver projects effectively and transparently.
  • Produce high-quality technical reports and client documentation.
  • Mentor and develop junior colleagues and help shape the continued growth of Egis’ Planning & Environmental practice.
Why join Egis?

As Egis continues to expand its Irish operations, you’ll also have the opportunity to grow your career, take on greater responsibility and help build a leading multidisciplinary planning and environmental team.

If you’re an experienced planning or environmental professional looking for the opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with talented specialists and make a tangible impact, we’d like to hear from you.

  • Strong understanding of Irish planning and environmental legislation, policy and consenting procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and submitting planning applications, EIARs, and planning statements for both public and private sector clients.
  • Proven ability to manage complex multidisciplinary projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Strong analytical, technical writing, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organisational and project management capabilities, with the ability to work to critical deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative and committed to maintaining an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.
