Overview

Senior Pharmacist in Drogheda, Louth. This is envisioned to be a 4-month contract.

Location

Location: Drogheda (Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital)

Work pattern: Monday - Friday 09:00am - 4:30pm

Hours: 35 hours per week

Caseload: 500 bed Model 3 hospital providing acute unscheduled and scheduled care

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the delivery of a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service.
  • Including medicine reconciliation, patient education and working with the multi-disciplinary team to optimise patient care.
  • Assist in the efficient running of the dispensary and supervising the operation of the dispensary, including procurement, patient education, storage, supply and the dispensing of pharmaceuticals.
Requirements
  • Be a registered Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) or be entitled to be so registered.
  • Have at least three years satisfactory post registration hospital experience.
  • Possess the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
  • Must be a resident in Ireland and have the legal right to work in Ireland without restriction.
  • Willing to undergo Garda Vetting.
  • International Police Clearance (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16).
