Job summary

Health Service Executive is seeking an Occupational Therapist, Senior for the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) across multiple sites. The role focuses on disability services for children with intellectual, physical and sensory disabilities, applying occupational therapy to support participation in daily life.

Successful candidates will be placed on a regional panel and may be assigned to vacancies in HSE Dublin South & Wicklow, Waterford & Wexford, Carlow Kilkenny & Tipperary South, or

Qualifications

• Demonstrate depth and breadth of experience working in disability services as relevant to the role.
• Knowledge of intellectual disability, physical & sensory disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders and their impact.
• Understanding of the interplay between physical, sensory and learning difficulties in intellectual disability, autistic spectrum disorder and physical & sensory disabilities across the lifespan.
• Understanding of the role of occupational therapy in supporting children with intellectual disability, autistic spectrum disorder and physical & sensory disabilities.
• Awareness of and sensitivity to the impact of disability throughout the course of the person and their families engagement with the service.
