Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, Optum division, in Ireland seeks a Senior Business Analyst to join the Payment Integrity BAR team. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience in business analytics, financial analysis, reporting or related disciplines.
• Experience with large datasets and relational databases (SQL, Oracle, Teradata, Snowflake).
• Experience developing reports, dashboards, scorecards and analytical deliverables.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, review, forecast, and trend operational and financial data to support planning.
• Conduct variance analysis; identify drivers of performance, savings, and results.
• Support monthly/quarterly business reviews with reporting and commentary.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, scorecards, and analytical tools.
• Monitor KPIs; identify trends, risks, opportunities, and issues.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, actuarial, and business teams for insights.
• Perform ad hoc analyses to answer business questions and support initiatives.
• Develop and maintain reporting solutions using SQL and BI tools.
• Improve reporting processes, data quality, and efficiency through automation.
• Support forecasting and planning with analytical modeling and trend analysis.
• Gather and document business requirements for reporting and solutions.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
• Manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results.
• Contribute to reporting transformation and dashboard development.
