Job summary

Harry Walsh Associates Ltd. is seeking a packaging operations specialist for a global flavors and fragrances facility in Ireland. You will support, develop and continuously improve packaging and production processes to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations.

The role requires an engineering degree and hands-on experience in manufacturing environments, with a focus on process improvement, automation, and packaging quality systems.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food, beverage or packaging environment.
• Knowledge of production processes, process equipment and improvement techniques.
• Experience in continuous improvement (lean six sigma) and problem solving.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and plant automation would be beneficial.
• Experience with automated packaging equipment and packaging line operations.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, specifications and packaging quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Support, develop and continuously improve packaging operations and selected production activities across the site.
• Provide technical support to packaging processes and production operations.
• Drive operational excellence, troubleshoot process issues and implement sustainable improvements.
• Ensure safe, reliable and efficient production through process optimisation.

Job description

The role is accountable for supporting, developing and continuously improving packaging operations and certain production operations across the site.

Responsible for providing technical support to packaging processes/production operations, driving operational excellence, troubleshooting process issues, and implementing sustainable improvements to ensure safe, reliable and efficient production.

• Relevant Engineering degree with experience working within a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food, beverage or packaging environment.
• Knowledge of production processes, process improvement techniques and process equipment.
• Experience in continuous improvement (lean six sigma etc.), process optimisation and problem-solving methodologies would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and plant automation would be beneficial
• Experience with automated packaging equipment and packaging line operations.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, specifications and packaging quality systems.
