Senior Container Lead
The Senior Container Lead will be a key member of a Modern Engineering Platform team, delivering up-to-date delivery practices across Technology, Process, and Culture. The Container Lead will be a senior member of a team of five and be responsible for the design, implementation, and operational management of multiple OpenShift-based Kubernetes clusters.
The Container Lead will also support the wider agile DevSecOps, automation agenda, working with product teams to reengineer existing software applications over to microservice-orientated architectures.
Responsibilities
- Provide thought/technical leadership towards the architectural designs of OpenShift-based Kubernetes clusters and their associated server and network infrastructures.
- Ensure architectural designs meet non-functional requirements such as high availability and disaster recovery.
- Design and develop CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.
- Provide technical guidance and supervision to members of the Modern Engineering Platform team, concerning the refactoring and migration of existing applications over to OpenShift containers.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Maintain and optimize container orchestration and deployment processes.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to Kubernetes and containerized applications.
- Ensure clusters align to client security standards.
Preferred Skillsets
- 5+ years’ experience of operating Red Hat OpenShift clusters, including ACM, ACS, Quay
- Proven experience with CI/CD tooling: Git, Helm, ArgoCD, Sonarqube, Azure DevOps Services, Podman, Skopeo, Clair, ZAProxy, HashiCorp Vault, Gatling, Nexus Repository
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and hybrid cloud solutions
- Certifications - Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator or Kubernetes Certified Administrator
