Job summary

A leading paediatric rehabilitation provider in Dublin seeks an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to deliver patient-centered care for children in an acute hospital setting. Our client is a leading provider of paediatric rehabilitation and orthopaedic services, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. They are seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join their dynamic team and support children in an acute hospital setting.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialised occupational therapy assessments and interventions for paediatric patients. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support children’s rehabilitation, functional independence, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised intervention plans for paediatric patients.
  • Provide specialised rehabilitation services to children recovering from orthopaedic procedures and medical conditions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, consultants, and nurses, to deliver holistic patient care.
  • Educate and support families on therapy techniques to enhance the child’s recovery and development.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to service planning and development.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and CORU registration.
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Essential: Previous experience working in an acute hospital setting in Ireland.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience in paediatric rehabilitation, orthopaedics, or related areas is highly desirable.
