Job summary

CRC Central Remedial Clinic in Clondalkin is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT). This full-time, permanent role provides inter-disciplinary OT interventions for children aged 0–18 with complex developmental needs.

You will collaborate across disciplines, support families, and help advance lean healthcare practices within our services. CORU registration and relevant paediatric experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be registered or eligible for registration as an Occupational Therapist with CORU.
• Minimum 3 years post-qualification clinical experience, including at least 2 years with children with disabilities.
• Excellent communication, initiative and time management skills.
• Flexible and able to work in a team.
• Full driver’s licence and access to a car; if not currently held, able to obtain it after interview stage.

We currently have vacancies on our CRC Children’s Disability Network Teams, across our Clondalkin location. CDNT Clondalkin;

The CRC Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT) will be providing intervention to children from the age of 0-18 years, presenting with complex developmental needs requiring inter-disciplinary intervention.

During 2024 the CRC has embarked on a programme of organistional transformation. Partnering with the Virginia Mason Institute world leaders in supporting healthcare organisations through continuous improvement and transformational change. The successful candidate will have the following essential requirements:

• Possess a recognised Occupational Therapist qualification and be registered or be eligible for registration as an Occupational Therapist by CORU.
• At least 3 years post qualification clinical experience with a minimum of two years proven experience working with children with disabilities
• Excellent communication, initiative and time management skills
• Flexibility and teamwork skills which are key to this role
• Full drivers licence and access to car - Candidates that do not currently have this requirement are encouraged to apply, however there is a requirement to obtain this and will be explained at interview stage

Desirable requirements:

• Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Experience working with children with physical disabilities
• Experienced working with children with intellectual disabilities
• Experience completing Assessment of Need

It must be clearly demonstrated in your CV and supporting statement how you meet the required skills, competencies and knowledge for the post. Department of Health Salary Scale apply, Senior Occupational Therapist 3301 (€65,197 - €76,767).

A panel will be created from this campaign from which current and future permanent, specified purpose, whole‑time and part‑time posts for CRC Children’s Disability Services will be filled.
