CPL Group is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to work across the Northwest region (Sligo, Donegal & Leitrim). The role focuses on home and community-based assessments, tailored interventions and strategies to improve independence and quality of life for individuals experiencing homelessness, trauma and mental health challenges.

You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering recovery-focused services, emphasising person-centred care and supported housing models.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist with CORU registration.
  • Experience in mental health services and/or with marginalised groups.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Recovery-oriented and trauma-informed approach.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments in line with individual needs.
  • Develop, implement and review person-centred care and recovery plans.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions promoting functional recovery and independent living.
  • Support service users in developing day-to-day living skills and community integration.
  • Build trusting relationships with individuals who may have experienced trauma and social exclusion.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to prioritise and address needs.
  • Adapt interventions to support each individual’s goals and circumstances.
  • Advocate for service users to enhance stability, independence and wellbeing.

Cpl Healthcare is proud to partner with a leading non‑profit organisation dedicated to supporting individuals who have experienced long‑term homelessness, chronic trauma, mental health difficulties and addiction.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team delivering person‑centred, recovery‑focused services across the Northwest region.

About the Role

As a Senior OT, you will play a pivotal role in supporting service users to achieve greater independence, stability and quality of life. Working directly with individuals in their own homes and communities, you will assess needs, develop tailored interventions and empower service users to build the practical skills required for sustainable recovery.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working within an innovative Housing First and community‑based support model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments in line with individual needs.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current registration with CORU.
  • A minimum of 3 years' post‑qualification clinical experience.
  • Experience in mental health services and/or working with individuals from marginalised or socially excluded backgrounds.
  • A strong understanding of recovery‑oriented and trauma‑informed approaches.
  • Excellent communication, relationship‑building and teamwork skills.
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland.
  • A full clean driver's licence and access to a vehicle.
