OCI Network Availability is seeking a Senior Network Reliability Engineer to enhance the availability of the Oracle Cloud Network Infrastructure. The NRE focuses on measuring and automating network reliability to meet service-level objectives and agreements. Responsibilities include responding to network disruptions, diagnosing causes, collaborating with stakeholders, and automating routine tasks to improve efficiency. OCI's global cloud network supports hundreds of thousands of devices across diverse infrastructure including dedicated backbone, CLoSNetwork, and the Internet.

In this role, you will:

1. Support the design, deployment, and operation of a large-scale global OCI environment.
2. Develop and contribute to procedures and tools for safe network changes.
3. Create solutions for support teams to respond to network failures.
4. Participate in network design and architecture discussions.
5. Provide support for network events, lead root cause analysis, and coordinate remediation efforts.
6. Automate routine tasks through scripting.
7. Coordinate with automation and monitoring teams to develop support tools and telemetry data collection.
8. Create dashboards for network performance analysis.
9. Work with vendors and QA teams on firmware, OS updates, and bug resolution.
10. Participate in on-call rotations.

Preferred Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in CS or related field with 5+ years of network engineering experience, or a master’s degree with 2+ years experience. Candidates should have strong knowledge of protocols like MPLS, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, TCP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, VxLAN, EVPN, and experience with scripting (preferably Python), network monitoring, telemetry solutions, and network modeling (YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF). Excellent problem-solving, communication, and influencing skills are essential.
