Job summary

International Data Centre Contractor in Dublin is seeking an experienced MV Commissioning Engineer to lead commissioning activities for data centre projects. You will oversee MV switchgear, transformers, protection systems and cabling, coordinating testers and vendors to ensure energisation and handover.

The role requires strong MV commissioning expertise in data centres, with responsibility for testing, energisation and documentation in a high-demand environment.

Qualifications

Must have 5+ years’ experience in an electrical commissioning role.
Proven experience working with MV electrical systems.
Strong commissioning experience with MV switchgear, transformers and protection systems.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate and supervise MV commissioning activities across switchgear, transformers, protection systems and cabling.
Coordinate MV switching, isolation, energisation and permit-to-work activities.
Review commissioning procedures, test scripts and test records.
Coordinate FAT, off-site testing and site commissioning activities.
Track commissioning issues and defects through to close-out and handover.
Work with Commissioning, QA/QC, Energy Marshalling and project teams to maintain programme delivery.
