As a Senior Front-End/Mobile specialist, you’ll collaborate with Product Managers, UX designers, and Engineers, contribute to architecture, and mentor peers while improving CI/CD and application health.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with front-end and mobile focus.

A leading global financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Mobile Engineer to join a high-performing digital engineering team responsible for delivering customer-facing mobile experiences used by millions of users.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative mobile solutions that power employee benefits, retirement, healthcare, stock plans, and financial wellbeing services. You'll play a key role in developing and enhancing enterprise-scale mobile applications across iOS, Android, and web platforms, helping to deliver seamless digital experiences for customers.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you'll join a collaborative team focused on building modern, scalable mobile applications. Working closely with Product Managers, Architects, UX Designers, and Engineering teams, you'll contribute to the design, development, and delivery of high-impact features while helping drive engineering excellence across the mobile estate.

This role would suit a strong Front-End Developer with significant mobile application experience, particularly someone who has developed web and mobile applications across both iOS and Android platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web and mobile applications.
• Deliver new features and enhancements that improve customer experience and engagement.
• Build responsive, scalable user interfaces using modern front-end technologies.
• Collaborate with UX/UI teams to translate designs into intuitive and accessible mobile experiences.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Contribute to application architecture, design reviews, and technical decision-making.
• Drive best practices around code quality, testing, performance, and maintainability.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery initiatives.
• Monitor application health through analytics, logging, and observability tooling.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor other engineers within the team.
• Work closely with global stakeholders across multiple teams and locations.

Required Experience

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on front-end and mobile development.
• Extensive experience developing applications using:
  • Angular
  • HTML5
  • CSS3
  • JavaScript / TypeScript
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• Experience with modern Angular frameworks, including:
  • ngRx
  • Signal-based state management
• Proven experience building responsive web and mobile applications.
• Experience delivering hybrid mobile solutions using:
  • Ionic
  • Capacitor
  • or similar frameworks
• Strong knowledge of both iOS and Android platforms and mobile application lifecycles.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and backend services.
• Understanding of application security, authentication, and data protection best practices.
• Experience deploying applications to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Experience

• Experience integrating native mobile capabilities through plugins, SDKs, and platform APIs.
• Exposure to cloud-native or cloud-aware application development.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright.
• Familiarity with:
  • Jenkins
  • Artifactory
  • SonarQube
  • CI/CD tooling
• Background within financial services or other highly regulated environments.
