Job summary

Etsy, Inc. is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for the Search Ads team in Dublin. You will build user-centric ML systems powering sponsored search for a two-sided marketplace with millions of buyers and sellers, delivering scalable retrieval, ranking, and ad allocation solutions.

You will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and analytics to deploy production ML models, run experiments, and improve ad relevance and engagement across Etsy.com and the Etsy app.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building ML systems for search, ads or recommendations.
• Strong knowledge of retrieval, ranking, and user engagement modeling.
• Experience deploying and monitoring models in production.

Responsibilities

• Develop and productionize large-scale ML models for Etsy Ads.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, eng, and analytics teams to define requirements.
• Run A/B experiments to validate model improvements and user impact.
• Monitor and iterate on models to improve relevance and engagement across the platform.
