Job summary

Eurofins Biomnis in Dublin 18 is recruiting a Senior Medical Scientist / Senior Biomedical Scientist in Microbiology. You will join the Microbiology Department and lead operations in the absence of the Chief Medical Scientist, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.

Training and development support is provided to progress within the organisation. CORU or HCPC registration is required to practice in Ireland.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as Basic Grade Medical/Biomedical Scientist in medical Microbiology.
• Master's degree with at least 2 years' experience as Senior Medical in Microbiology.
• CORU or HCPC registration as required for Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine microbiological testing and sample analysis with timely delivery of results.
• Authorise, evaluate and report results; escalate significant findings when needed.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems and accreditation requirements.
• Utilise LIMS and maintain accurate lab documentation.
• Support QA activities including audits and non-conformances.
• Assist with validation/verification of new methods and equipment.
