Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading MEP consultancy on commercial and residential projects across Ireland, based in Dublin.

You will lead the design of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection, develop drawings and reports, mentor juniors, and collaborate with architects and other engineers. Hybrid working options and competitive salary up to €70,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical design for commercial/residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP design standards, codes, and building regulations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar design software.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design of MEP systems for commercial and residential buildings.
• Develop detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports in compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and electrical engineers.
• Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and support project delivery from concept through completion.
