Job summary

Abbott Diabetes Care Kilkenny is seeking a Senior Technical Engineer to apply engineering knowledge to assignments with minimal supervision. You will support manufacturing nonconformances, root-cause analysis, and remediation across sites, while aligning with regulatory requirements.

You will plan and lead projects, monitor schedules and costs, mentor others, and perform economic analyses to meet business targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or closely related discipline is desired, or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum 7 years of work experience.
• Significant engineering, project management, and / or operational experience.
• Has demonstrated competency within a discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support for nonconformances using root cause analysis.
• Implement remediation solutions across multiple sites to address root cause and prevent recurrence.
• Govern risk management processes including pfMEA documentation with regulatory considerations.
• Plan and conduct small- to medium-size projects within engineering specialty.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines, coordinating with internal and external staff.
• Maintain project controls for cost, scope and schedule; develop execution strategies.
• Perform economic analyses and feasibility studies to meet business targets.
• Mentor others by sharing technical expertise within the team.
