Job summary

Elite Talent Hub are recruiting a Lead Mechanical Engineer for a major hyperscale data centre project in Denmark. You will own mechanical engineering delivery from design through to handover, and lead commissioning activities in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

You will mentor multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate with Electrical and CSA colleagues, drive EHS compliance, manage technical submittals and design changes, and report progress to senior management.

Qualifications

• Senior-level mechanical engineering experience on large-scale construction projects.
• Experience in data centres or mission-critical environments.
• Experience leading engineering teams and multidisciplinary delivery.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical engineering function across design, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover.
• Mentor and manage mechanical engineering teams across multiple work packages.
• Oversee commissioning activities including flushing, balancing, testing, and handover.
• Coordinate with Electrical and CSA teams for system integration.
• Drive EHS compliance and safe working practices on site.
• Manage technical submittals, RFIs, design changes and QA processes.
• Support procurement activities with RFQs and vendor coordination.
• Monitor programme sequencing and mitigate project risks.
• Report to senior project and business teams with clear technical leadership.
