Job summary

The Senior Mechanical Equipment Design Engineer role with CREGG Recruitment is based in Limerick, Ireland, supporting a leading medical device manufacturer. The position focuses on highly automated production line design and engineering leadership.

You will design and improve equipment for medical device production, ensuring safety, CE marking, and robust documentation. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and external builders.

Qualifications

• Designs equipment for manufacturing meeting safety, CE and performance requirements.
• Provides technical leadership on equipment related product and process issues.
• Leads the design of new equipment from concept to deployment for manufacturing.
• Collaborates with internal and external builders to ensure build according to specs and handover to manufacturing.
• Delivers equipment solutions within planned schedules and budget.
• Maintains documentation/drawing standards for equipment.
• Ensures equipment meets CE marking standards.
• Assesses environmental impact with EH&S when evaluating new equipment/processes/chemicals.
• Incorporates quality in all work and participates in continuous improvement projects.

Responsibilities
