Job summary

Force Recruitment and Outsourcing is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with data centre project experience to join our client, a leading Irish engineering and building services consultancy. This is a senior, hands-on role delivering mechanical design coordination, commissioning, and project delivery across large-scale construction programmes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong technical leadership in mechanical building services on large construction projects.
• Experience delivering mechanical packages for data centres or mission-critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical coordination of the mechanical package throughout project delivery.
• Lead client meetings and coordinate all mechanical engineering communications.
• Manage technical submittals, RFIs, and design reviews.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and CSA interfaces to ensure seamless installation.
• Develop and review commissioning documentation for mechanical systems.
• Prepare and review method statements and risk assessments.
• Monitor installation progress and ensure works remain on programme.
• Support cost management, change control, and variation assessments.
• Drive completion of O&M manuals and handover documentation.
• Mentor and support junior Mechanical Engineers and Package Managers.
• Lead BIM coordination on projects.
• Support LEED or sustainability objectives.
