Job summary

Abbott Diabetes Care Kilkenny is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Support Engineer to lead process engineering initiatives and ensure reliability of production equipment. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, and Operations to drive improvements across high-volume manufacturing environments.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 5 years in regulated manufacturing, with strong problem-solving and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in FDA-regulated manufacturing.
• Experience in reliability, maintenance, and asset management.
• Knowledge of medical device regulations (FDA/ISO 13485/GMP/CE).
• Strong leadership and analytical/problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide site-level and global process engineering leadership.
• Improve manufacturing processes to maximize quality and efficiency.
• Lead investigations and CAPA activities for manufacturing-related issues.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma and data analysis.
• Support risk management, validation, change control and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate updates and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
