Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Senior Manager Data Engineering to lead a team of data engineers, architect scalable data platforms, and guide cloud migrations across enterprise data sources. You will drive the design and implementation of data pipelines, mentor staff, and ensure adherence to data standards while leveraging cutting-edge technologies and cloud services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Database Management, IT, CS or similar.
• Enterprise solution or data architectural experience.
• Experience with data platforms, RDBMS, NoSQL, NewSQL and streaming tech.
• Experience with data integration tools and technologies.
• Experience with data modelling and data visualization tools and technologies.
• Experience in data intelligence, AI/ML and data science.
• Experience using cloud database technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience building data models to support various solutions (Kimball/Data Vault).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data engineers.
• Partner with stakeholders to manage relationships.
• Design innovative, enterprise-grade data architectures.
• Plan and manage data project implementations.
• Mentor and train team members.
• Develop data pipelines to ingest and transform data with clean coding practices.
• Collaborate with Data Science and Product leaders on best practices for analytics pipelines.
• Partner with Infrastructure on architecture approaches and cloud-enabled tools.
