Job summary

Bon Secours Hospital Cork is seeking a Senior Radiographer / Senior Mammographer to join the Diagnostic Imaging Department on a permanent basis. The role focuses on leading radiographic and mammography services, maintaining high patient care standards and ensuring radiation safety.

You will supervise staff and contribute to service development. Essential criteria include CORU registration, a BSc or Diploma, and 3+ years post-graduate experience with flexibility to rotate modalities.

Qualifications

• BSc in Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers, CORU-validated
• Post-graduate qualification in the area
• CORU registration
• Minimum 3 years post-graduate experience
• Strong leadership and staff training abilities
• Good time management and flexibility to rotate through modalities

Responsibilities

• Organise / supervise / perform radiographic / mammography / imaging procedures and supervise staff
• Assist in daily operational management of the services
• Maintain high standards of patient care and technique
• Adhere to Radiation Protection and ALARA principles
• Participate in Quality Assurance programmes and attend post-graduate courses
• Support education and training of staff and deputise when required
