Job summary

UNSW in Sydney, Australia, invites applications for a Level B/C research role with a fixed term of 2 years and convertible tenure track. Qualifications

• PhD in a related discipline and/or relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated track record in functional genomics with high-quality outputs.
• Experience with genome engineering or perturbation approaches, including CRISPR-Cas systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research/scholarly activities under limited supervision and design research projects.
• Contribute to development of applications for competitive funding.
• Assist with delivery of a Predict-Perturb-Validate-Translate workflow using genomic, molecular and clinical data.
• Apply CRISPR or related perturbation methods to studies.
• Develop quantitative readouts using omics and cellular phenotyping methods.
• Collaborate across UNSW and partners to support translational opportunities.
• Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in relevant areas.
• Mentor HDR students and contribute to a collegial research culture.
• Lead learning activities and provide assessment and feedback within courses.
