Job summary

Mace is seeking a senior lead engineer to join our team in Ireland. You will lead complex client engineering assignments and oversee delivery from brief to completion, ensuring alignment with HV transmission standards.

As a senior leader, you will manage design, consultant and project teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive best practice across projects while supporting budget, risk and compliance goals. Hybrid working options are available.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified electrical engineer with high-voltage transmission experience.
• Proven project delivery and stakeholder engagement across complex programmes.
• Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills with onsite inspection experience.

The project:

We are now seeking senior lead engineers to join our team. The successful candidate will perform and lead complex client engineering assignments to ensure that business priorities are met. The client engineering function is responsible for undertaking project design reviews/site inspections on both contestable and non-contestable transmission projects to ensure that projects are developed in accordance with client’s functional specification standards. Delivery of these projects is required to meet key departmental and company objectives.

You’ll Need To Have

• Degree‑qualified electrical engineer with strong experience in high‑voltage transmission systems and emerging technologies.
• Proven project delivery, stakeholder engagement and communication capability across complex programmes.
• Strong analytical, commercial and problem‑solving skills with experience in onsite inspections.
• Professional membership desirable, with understanding of sustainability, carbon impacts and sector requirements.
