Job summary

Exyte seeks a Senior Lead Designer Architectural to lead architectural design on a live project in Finland. You will coordinate across disciplines, oversee detailed design, and ensure buildability and compliance with the programme and permits.

The role is on-site and requires close collaboration with project teams, clients and contractors. Experience leading architectural delivery on complex projects and strong BIM proficiency are essential.

The Senior Lead Designer Architectural will lead and coordinate architectural design activities for a live construction project in Finland.

Based on-site, the role will work closely with the project, construction and multidisciplinary design teams to ensure architectural design information is technically compliant, coordinated, buildable and delivered in line with the project programme, quality requirements and approved design intent.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design scope through the detailed design, construction and handover stages of the project.
• Act as the senior architectural design point of contact for the on-site project team, client representatives, consultants, contractors and specialist subcontractors.
• Coordinate architectural design activities with structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, process and construction disciplines.
• Manage architectural design deliverables, priorities and interfaces in line with the project design programme and construction schedule.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, schedules, models, material submissions and technical documentation for completeness, coordination and constructability.
• Ensure architectural designs comply with the approved project requirements, applicable Finnish regulations, relevant European standards, planning requirements and permit conditions.
• Lead architectural design reviews, interdisciplinary coordination meetings, workshops and technical resolution sessions.
• Identify design risks, clashes, gaps and constructability issues, and drive timely resolution with the relevant stakeholders.

Show your expertise

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Building Design or a related discipline.
• Significant experience leading architectural design delivery on complex construction, engineering or high-technology projects.
• Previous experience working in an on-site design role during the construction phase of a live project.
• Strong knowledge of architectural detailing, building envelope systems, internal finishes, fire and life-safety interfaces, accessibility and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Good understanding of Finnish building requirements, permitting processes and relevant European design standards is desirable.
• Proven ability to review architectural drawings, models, specifications and technical submissions and identify design or constructability issues.
• Experience working within a BIM-led project environment and coordinating architectural models with other design disciplines.
• Proficiency in relevant design and collaboration platforms such as Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks and Microsoft Office is desirable.
