Job summary

Sonatus is seeking a Senior Lead Database Engineer to architect and optimise high-performance, scalable database systems for time-series data, OLAP, and OLTP workloads. You will drive data models, selection of SQL and NoSQL technologies, and collaborate with AI, software, and product teams to meet evolving data needs.

You will mentor engineers, lead performance tuning, and stay ahead of innovations in time-series databases and analytics platforms to support Sonatus' global mobility initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in database engineering with SQL and NoSQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of scalable DB solutions focusing on time-series, OLAP, and OLTP.
• Evaluate SQL/NoSQL tech based on project needs.
• Design data models to support diverse queries and ops.
• Develop and optimise complex SQL, procedures, and indexing.
• Collaborate across AI, software, and product teams to meet data needs.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive improvements in DB tech and processes.
• Stay current with time-series and OLAP/OLTP innovations.
