You'll have the freedom to take ownership of projects from initial fieldwork through to processing and final delivery, working alongside an experienced and supportive team.

We're not looking for someone to simply collect survey data. We're looking for someone who understands surveying, takes ownership of their work and can deliver a quality finished product.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Land Surveying – Independently carry out topographical, engineering and other survey projects.
  • Varied Survey Work – Work across a range of surveying disciplines and project types.
  • Processing & Drawing Production – Process survey data and produce accurate, fully layered 2D and 3D drawings, plans, sections and elevations.
  • Project Delivery – Take responsibility for assigned surveys, from fieldwork through to completed deliverables.
  • Quality Control – Ensure survey accuracy, drawing standards and project specifications are consistently achieved.
  • Teamwork – Work closely with our Lead Surveyor, processing team and other surveyors to deliver projects efficiently.
  • Client Liaison – Communicate with clients and site contacts where required to ensure surveys run smoothly.

The position is primarily site-based, with time spent in the office processing survey data and preparing drawings. Some travel throughout Ireland will be required.

Who We're Looking For

You may currently be working as a Senior Land Surveyor, Engineering Surveyor, Geospatial Surveyor or Survey Team Leader.

What matters most is that you already have strong practical surveying skills and can independently manage surveys through to completed deliverables.

You'll bring:
  • Several years of practical experience in land or topographical surveying.
  • Strong experience carrying out surveys independently.
  • Good understanding of survey control, accuracy and coordinate systems.
  • Strong drawing production skills, including producing fully layered and compliant survey drawings.
  • Experience processing survey data and delivering completed drawings. The confidence to work independently, solve problems and take ownership of projects.
  • Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
  • A full Category B driving licence.

Experience across multiple surveying disciplines would be particularly valuable.

This is a role for someone who already has the technical experience to deliver survey projects independently, while continuing to develop their skills across new surveying methods and disciplines.

Why Join iO Geomatics?
  • Above-Average Salary – A remuneration package that reflects your experience and technical ability.
  • Variety – Work on interesting projects across infrastructure, engineering, construction and the built environment.
  • Real Autonomy – Take ownership of projects from initial fieldwork to completed deliverables.
